The Bridge Group has three primary areas of service.
- Building Bridges to Our Culture
- Strengthening the Local Church
- Networking the Body of Christ for Service to Our Community
Building Bridges to our Culture:
For many in our culture, there is a misconception that God is unable
to speak to their everyday issues of life. These misconceptions form
barriers to individuals being able to understand God and His purposes
for mankind. The Bridge Group seeks to break down such barriers by
taking the practical teachings of Christ into the community and creating
forums for dialogue whereby individuals in the community can discuss and
process with others the truths of Scripture.
This is accomplished through these avenues:
- On-site Forums
- Character First Clubs and After School programs
- Topical Seminars,
- Community building events
- Web Page
Strengthening the Local Church for
Effective Outreach:
The Church has been and will remain God’s primary tool to reach
His creation. The Bridge Group seeks to assist pastors and other
church leaders in their efforts of creating healthy environments for
people to encounter God’s presence. The Bridge Groups main focus is
to assist leadership in their efforts to train and equip their
congregations for "All Church Outreach."
This is accomplished through these initiatives:
- Leadership Consultation
- On-site assessments/strategic planning
- Evangelistic training, "Naturally Speaking."
- Conference Sponsorship
Networking the Body of Christ for Service to the Community:
It has long been said that until the Body of Christ serves together
in unity and one purpose the charge to reach our world for God’s
Glory cannot be accomplished. This calls for neutral entities that can
work to bring together individuals and churches throughout the greater
Indianapolis area for common cause events and projects. The Bridge
Group provides that common link whereby churches can come together in
a spirit of unity and common purpose and resources can be pooled and
focused to serve our community. By serving together, a new picture of
Christ and His Body is seen by those throughout our community and
especially those who are outside the church. These common projects
have both local and foreign impact.
This is accomplished by the following:
- "One Accord Projects"
- "One Accord Gatherings"
Intercessory Prayer
Every Tuesday, the Bridge Group prays for God’s blessing on our
community.
